HRQG Policies
HRQG Membership policy (per our by-laws):
Membership shall be open to all persons interested in quilts and quilting. Enrollment is open through May 31st each year for continuing members. New members may join in September. The Membership Committee will maintain a list of prospective members.Full guild membership is capped at 150 Active Members. Up to 25 additional Associate Members are permitted.Annual dues are $25.00 for Active Members and must be paid by May 31st of each year. Dues may be changed as deemed necessary by the Executive Board and recommended to the general membership for approval by a majority of those present.Annual dues for Associate Membership are $15 per year and must be paid by May 31st of each year. Associate Members are entitled to guild newsletters and two regular meetings at no cost.Holding office, making motions, debating, voting and all other privileges of membership shall be limited to full members whose dues are paid.Guests are welcome to one meeting at no expense.Members whose dues remain unpaid after the June meeting shall be notified by the Membership Chairman and after June 30th shall be automatically dropped from membership unless otherwise voted by the Executive Board.HRQG Meeting cancelation policy:
In the event that a scheduled HRQG meeting is canceled due to weather or a major occurrence the following procedures will take place:1) The Executive Board members will determine if a HRQG meeting should be canceled.2) The HRQG President will notify via telephone the person or persons responsible for unlocking the church/building prior to the scheduled HRQG meeting.3) The Newsletter/Website Committee Chairman will be advised to send out an e-mail Alert to notify the membership of a cancellation and the reason for it.4) The members of the Executive Board will be responsible for notifying any member who does not have a computer/e-mail address. These members will be notified via telephone.5) All members will be notified between 8:00AM and 8:30AM the day of the canceled scheduled monthly meeting. Members need to check their e-mail messages prior to leaving for a meeting.HRQG Sunshine committee:
The Sunshine Committee will consist of the guild Vice President.
The Sunshine Committee will send a get well card to members who have been ill or who have had surgery.
The Sunshine Committee will send a sympathy card to members and a donation to the charity of the member’s choice for a death in the immediate family. The immediate family consists of significant other, child, mother or father.
The Sunshine Committee will send a sympathy card to a member who has had a death in the family, other than the immediate family.
Hospitality:
It is every HRQG member’s caloric duty to contribute to our communal sustenance for at least one meeting per year, not just for our December and June pot lucks. You can bring any food item of your chosing, juice or paper goods. September’s goodies are provided by your board members.
