2008 Quilt Show 

Plans are in full swing for our 2008 quilt show. This show will be our 10th Anniversary show.

Dates: September 20-21, 2008

Where: Norwell Middle School, Route 123, Main Street, Norwell, MA

Hours: Saturday, 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. & Sunday, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Our show will also feature over 150 beautiful quilts made by our guild members. There will be a special section with challenge quilts where our guild members are given a challenge to create a quilt using specific requirements (see the 2008 Challenge link to see the challenge). We will also have a section on quilts created during our guild classes, quilts from those that participated in this years Block of the Month, some quilts from a small group that participated in a round robin as well as past "Viewers Choice" winners from the past 9 shows. We will also have a bed turning of antique quilts that are owned by some of our guild members. 

There will also be vendors, a silent auction, a boutique and quilt demonstrations.

To our Guild Members: 

URGENT!! The quilt show committee will meet on Aug. 24th, 2:00-4:00, at Denise Fitzgerald's house.

Remember to start thinking about something to donate for the Silent Auction. We're also going to have a basket full of pink and white blocks that will be raffled off. Please make up a 6", 9" or 12" block of your choice to donate for the basket.

Also, start making items to sell at the Boutique. We'll need lots of items to sell.

The drawing for this beautiful quilt will be on Sunday, September 21, 2008 during our quilt show.

 T’was the night before the quilt show and at the sewing machine was the biggest organizer clutter, that you’ve ever seen. 

There was fabric on the table, fabric on the chair, fabric on the floor, there was fabric every where.   I couldn’t  find my rotary cutter, couldn’t  find my mat, I couldn’t find my scissors, &  I’m wondering where they’re at.

It’s an hour before the show, then I’ll get up and leave.  All I need is a few more stitches, the binding ....and the sleeve.  

But I’m not about to worry, everything is going to be fine. I’ll get it done in time---But I really hate a deadline!
